About Zeke Maggard
Zeke Maggard was born in Hazard, Kentucky, deep in the Appalachian Mountains in the southeastern part of the state. Zeke’s mother was an English teacher, and his father worked in the coal mines for years before starting his own automobile collision repair shop. Zeke obtained his B.S. in Finance and B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Kentucky.
Growing up, Zeke saw the impact that unbridled corporate greed had on his hometown and much of the surrounding region. He decided to pursue a legal education to gain the skills and knowledge to fight for the rights of the people. Zeke earned his law degree and a certificate in Environmental Law from Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana. While in law school, Zeke worked as student attorney in the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic. With the clinic, he had the opportunity to work on a lawsuit against a major corporate polluter who operated dangerously close to a longstanding community. Immediately after graduation, Zeke moved to Colorado, where he had intended to move since before beginning law school.
Zeke spent the first several years of his legal career as a litigation defense attorney at firms in Denver, CO, representing individuals, construction companies, businesses, and insurance carriers. As a defense attorney, he gleaned first-hand understanding and knowledge of how insurance companies evaluate and defend injury claims. Zeke knew that he would eventually make the switch to the plaintiff’s side to do what he set out to do when he decided to attend law school. Armed with an understanding of the defense, Zeke is eager to fight for justice for injury victims.
When Zeke isn’t in the office, he likes to explore Colorado with his wife, Bailey, and Corgi, Roxy. He relishes days spent skiing, hiking, and generally enjoying the outdoors. Zeke is also a big fan of live music and continues to learn to play guitar.
