About Joseph Jestus
Joseph grew up in Cookeville, Tennessee. There, he knew he wanted to be an attorney after reading To Kill a Mockingbird. He attended Villanova University. After college, Joseph attended the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City.
Joseph worked for the Bet Tzedek Legal Services Clinic in law school, where he advocated for low-income tenants in disputes with landlords. Later, Joseph worked for the Legal Aid Criminal Defense Clinic. After law school, Joseph moved to Colorado and worked for the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office.
The experience working as a public defender was incredibly valuable. Joseph tried numerous cases, and represented thousands of clients. Joseph worked for a small criminal defense firm shortly thereafter. He again represented many clients and was honored to fight for everyone Joseph decided to take his skills over to The Wilhite Law Firm.
He is proud to represent those who were harmed by others. Joseph loves serving those who need it, no matter the circumstance. When Joseph is not working, you’ll find him cooking, reading, or playing retro video games.
