About Marianella Medelius
Marianella was born in 1986 in Lima, Peru. She moved to the United States in 2004, after graduating high school in Lima. Marianella went to undergraduate school at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a degree in political science. While in school she worked as a legal assistant for a law firm.
In 2009, Marianella moved to the small town of Ada, Ohio to obtain her law degree at Ohio Northern University. Marianella graduated cum laude in 2012. As a law student, Marianella was a member of her law school’s Law Review board and was in charge of reviewing every article prior to publication. During her first year of law school, Marianella worked at a non-profit assisting immigrant victims of domestic violence. During her second year of law school, Marianella worked at Legal Aid of North Carolina helping low-income individuals in a variety of civil matters.
Marianella’s legal experience includes working as an immigration attorney and representing clients in the areas of family law and personal injury. Marianella is a licensed attorney in the states of Colorado, North Carolina, and Virginia.
Outside of the workplace, Marianella enjoys spending time with her two children, ages 4 and 5, and watching soccer games.
